The Callow Childhood
Let’s talk about this callow piece in a descriptive manner. This is undoubtedly a very old piece probably a decade old. Though I do not possess any pertinent knowledge of this field even now but I surely can share my fair understanding in the following points:
- It is an innocent piece urging the readers to understand the preciousness of time.
- Gentle observation of the writer is quite patently discernible as seems from the second and third stanza
- The couplet reflects the understanding of the writer about the tumbling traits of current generation.
- The writer knows little about rhyming scheme but has tried whatever knowledge she/he has.
- There is a lot of repetition indicating writing this piece was not a cakewalk for the writer.
- The vocabulary is still at developmental stage and quite off target. The writer might have wanted to write ‘auspicious’ instead of ‘suspecious’. Though the use of words like inferior reflects the intellect of the writer, the word ‘suspecious’ tells us about the naivety of the writer.
While I was cleaning my bookshelf, I found this page. It felt nostalgic at first glance but it felt very immature to read it. I didn’t want to post it here or anywhere. But there are always some things which remind us some other things just like this. I had written this poem when I was a very little kid living the best days of my life. Whatever my age was, one thing can be clearly apprehended from this CALLOW piece and that is TIME. I don’t know if I really understood the value of time then though it is very clearly conveyed that at least I had the knowledge time.
This knowledge gained at a tender age is any valuable in longer prospects? Maybe or maybe not!!
